Trivia:

After the release of the first four episodes, Episode 5 was the longest episode to yet be released for the online series. Even so: over 30 minutes of polished, deleted scenes were cut from the episode to reduce running time down to 48 minutes. The reasons for the deleted scenes vary but much of the time it was simply to press forward past character development, which Producer Scott Lee felt was already established and move into telling the storyline faster.

As with many other shots, the shots of the various characters in the conference room and Leebo in the introduction to episode 5 were filmed several months apart.

The characters Tracy Williams and Tom Bartlebee were added in toward the second half of production when another cast member quit the production, feeling the series was too controversial and offensive in nature. Tom Bartlebee as a character was freshly molded after the original character in that position, named Carter Shaw, was a black male. Desiring more female screen presence, Producer Scott Lee approached Marcy Clark while Terry Jones was also asked to fill in. In the end, both characters were put onto screen.

Most of the interview shots with Detective Alex Ramirez (actor Xavier Flores) were filmed one year prior to the episode’s release date.

This was the first episode in which the series’ musical composers, Producer Scott Lee and musician Chris Worrell, teamed up to collaborate on the soundtrack. Scott created all of the music for the first three episodes and Chris Worrell all of the music to Episode 4 prior to this episode.
