After months of the viewers waiting and a long time spent in the editing room battling with an aging system, the all new series wide trailer has finally arrived. In it, Barton Police fans get to see the first ever glimpse of Episode 9 – The Takedown, available only on the upcoming Barton Police DVD. The trailer has it all: funny moments, gun battles, the Milkman, and more. The purpose of creating this main trailer was to provide a way to broadly cover the main story arch of the online series to give potential new fans the chance to experience a taste of the show without having to watch even one entire episode.

We believe we succeeded in that goal. The special effects titles (example: “The Police Department of Barton County…”) put such a strain on the computer’s RAM load that the frames of each title had to be exported by only 2 or 3 at a time in some instances from Adobe After Effects. The frames were then combined, the way old fashioned animation is often done, into one animation and placed into the trailer. The trailer went through three different cuts, the 3rd cut being the final one.

With the trailer out of the way, there is only one more thing to wait for: the release of the DVD. Oh, and the launch of the all new website design, both of which will be coming soon. Stay tuned and enjoy the trailer! :)

A new website design for BartonPolice.com is happening very soon. Until then, we got tired of looking at the shameful outdated site and decided to go ahead and post all of the videos up so that people can at least come here to view them. Simply check the episodes out from the top menu under: Watch the Episodes. A drop down menu should appear with all eight of the currently viewable episodes. Also, see the below news post made regarding the release of the DVD as well as the Episode 9 finale.

The Barton Police cast and crew have, to some degree, gone their separate ways following the completion of the show. However, you can check out the new project under works by some of the cast here: DollFactoryMovie.com. Doll Factory is a new project under works by the same company that has produced Barton Police, Barton Ct. Productions Inc. Doll Factory will be directed by Stephen Wolfe, the same director behind Barton Police, and will feature cast members Justin Herman (AJ Jenkins), Chester Smith (Bob Riley, Lenard Biggs, Old Man Earl), Scott Lee (Producer of Barton Police, Commissioner Preston Leebo), Tabitha Fuller (Alicia Beck), Mitchell Ganey (Bill O’Hara) and Xavier Flores (Alex Ramirez).  Also see the information on BartonCT.com about donating to Doll Factory to get the project started!

A few important things are happening with Barton Police and people are still wondering why it is taking so long to get finished. Well, I’ll give you a little bit of information real fast in the little time I have to fill you in with some news. This is Scott Lee, the Company Administrator for Barton Ct. Productions Inc., the producer of Barton Police, and the guy who plays Commissioner Preston Leebo on the show. I’ve spent the past three days working a total of 24 hours on getting the editing workstation that is used to edit the show back up and running after a hard drive failure.

Essentially, we’re using ancient, outdated technology by today’s video editing standards for our use with Barton Police…

EPISODE 4 IS NOW ONLINE! WATCH IT NOW!

So far, three episodes have been released and thousands of viewers are now about to see the show that is going to take the internet by storm. Director Stephen Wolfe (I’m Not Gonna Lie) along with Producer Scott Lee and their production team with Barton Ct. Productions Inc. have put together a groundbreaking independent production, spanning over an entire year of production and thousands of hours in post production. It is quite possible that the show’s cast, consisting of Justin Herman, Chester Smith, John Pandolph, Xavier Flores, Mitchell Ganey, and Michael Gutierrez will become newly known stars when the team enacts its extensive promotional and advertising plan that is set to bring in over 10,000 viewers by the end of 2009 and an estimated 100,000 viewers over the next two years.

While the show is catching the attention of parents everywhere for its use of young actors, an almost entirely male cast for its first season, and excessive profanity the online series has also been catching the attention of bloggers and internet radio show hosts. Starting in January of 2010, Barton Police and its first nine episodes will be converted into a movie cut format for entry into the 10th Annual Gulf Coast Film Festival. Barton Ct. Productions Inc. also plans to create a “bleeped” censored version for use in advertising following the release of the normal uncensored version and the series’ DVD. Although the release date for the Barton Police Online Series DVD has not yet been announced, Barton Ct. Productions Inc. has announced that the DVD will feature enhanced audio, additional music, deleted scenes, audio commentaries, and a special making-of featurette.

For each episode, check the Episodes section of the Barton Police website to click around and find various trivia facts and details about the making of each episode. When you watch episode 3, available right below this paragraph, you will see an incredibly beautiful visual effects scene with elements put together by Andrew Kramer and his team at Video Copilot. Next week, we’ll see the release of Episode 4, which features original music by artist Chris Worrell.
